Off road to Reigate Hill.

Today's ride took us to Reigate Hill. We went off road through Walton Heath golf club in  Walton-on-the-hill. It was a meandering route and very hilly! School has officially closed (because of the dreaded coronavirus lockdown) and my GCSE exams have been cancelled - hooray! 😀

It was a simple ride on a simple route for some simple exercise. I came home and recorded a Scottish song with my brother, Rajiv in memory of a close family friend.

To Leith Hill & back...

This ride was awful! First I had to get to Leith Hill; then I had to ride up roads which were steep; then there were people on the way and it was muddy. To sum it all up - it was awful! 😠😣😵

And then I had to get back down.....which might sound easy but is wasn't when you consider that I had to go down some very muddy dirt tracks that twisted and turned all the way down some extremely steep slopes!!! If you don't believe me, look at the video below.

Puddles & hills; the cure for those winter blues!

I am pretty sure I burnt out both my legs today, thanks to all the hills! This must be good preparation for Spain. 💪As always, there was cake in the middle. The cake was very nice but was it worth all the hills and the suffering??? 😕

At Toys Hill.

We went past Winston Churchill's house at Chartwell. Of course it was on top of a hill!!! We went over Toys Hill, Botley Hill, Beddlestead Lane (another wretched hill!) and we also went along the Pilgrims Way. There were no hills there (hooray!) but I had to cycle through a small lake. 😣
